INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRADUATE STUDENT
READINGS
Each week one student will be responsible for leading the
discussion of that week’s papers. Discussion
leader will be responsible (with the help of the instructor) of addressing
technical issues, summarizing the methods (where appropriate) and approach used
by the authors, and major conclusions by the authors.
All students should come with (1) a question about the
paper, (2) the main conclusion of the authors, and (3) a brief analysis of how
well justified this conclusion is. Students
should be prepared to turn this material in at the beginning of the discussion.
Responsibility for leading the discussion will rotate
weekly.
