In addition to organizing interactive sessions at EWRI conferences that stimulate discussion and interest in emerging and innovative technologies, the Committee is also involved in the following ongoing activities:

The Committee has prepared a special edition of the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management (Vol. 135, No. 4) in memory of G.V. Loganathan, who was tragically killed at Virginia Tech in 2007 |

The Committee is initiating a task committee that will provide a vision of where Civil and Environmental Engineering will be in 2050. For example, what new technologies and alternative energy sources will be required to overcome resource shortages, political constraints, and natural/manmade disasters?
