The University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station, the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources and the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will be conducting their annual "Valley Road Field Lab, Field Day" on Saturday, September 8th, 2012. Open to the general public from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and located at 1000 Valley Road, Reno, Nev.
This event is the public's opportunity to tour the UNR Greenhouse Complex, experimental wine vineyard, the Nevada Genomics Center and bio-fuels production facilities. In addition to tours, students and faculty will be presenting their research, the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will be hosting Master Gardener demonstrations, and representatives from the High Desert Farming Initiative will be discussing techniques to extend the growing season in Northern Nevada.
