Natural Resources and Environmental Science (NRES) the University of Nevada promotes
multidisciplinary environmental research through a variety of outreach programs,
activities, and events designed to disseminate the results of the research to the
community at large. Existing outreach programs continue to enhance the quality
of science education, knowledge and enthusiasm of students and community members.
In addition outreach efforts encourage more individuals to address environmental
issues and seek careers in this field.
The NRES has developed a wide range of outreach programs. These programs are
a result of the formation of several long-term partnerships within the University
and community, which develop, implement and nurture common scientific and educational
goals. The following are types of outreach programs at NRES. Please click
