Welcome to our web site for the 2006 W1133 Meetings in San Antonio, Texas!

This web site is designed to facilitate your and my planning of this event. If you have any additional questions or run into web glitches, please send me an e-mail at moeltner@cabnr.unr.edu. I am looking forward to a great turnout, interesting presentations, and a "fruitful exchange of scholarly ideas in social settings" at these meetings.

Yours truly,

Klaus Moeltner, President W1133.

(PS: Bring the family - San Antonio has great tourist attractions for all ages - check out the links at the bottom of this page)

  • Hotel Information and Reservations
    • Hotel web site
    • I reserved 40 rooms for each of Wednesday (2/22), Thursday (2/23), and Friday (2/24) nights.
The negotiated rates are as follows:
    • single occupancy:  $109 per night plus 16.75% tax
    • double occupancy: $119 per night plus 16.75% tax
    • There are also 8 rooms reserved at government per diem, currently $93 / night (single occupancy) and $113/night (double occupancy)

To reserve your room: Please call the toll free number given above by January 22, and ask for Ms. Penny Herring.
She is our primary contact for these meetings.

Please note: The negotiated rates only hold until January 22, 2006.  After that date, any unused rooms will be released for general sale, with a likely sharp increase in rates, given San Antonio's popularity in February.

  • Conference fees:
    • Likely between $50 and $100 (I will announce the final amount in early 2006.  The fee will be collected at the meetings).
We hope to be able to offer a discounted fee for students.

  • Conference Registration
    • Let us know you're coming - please register for the meetings using the following link:
