Wine and Grape Workshops

Introduction to Viticulture (grape growing).The class will include basic information on where to purchase grapes, which grapes to purchase, how to plant, grow and harvest grapes, trellis design and construction, irrigation, pest and disease monitoring and control.

Introduction to Winemaking.The class will include basic information on where to get grapes for winemaking, techniques for crushing and pressing grape juice, fermentation techniques, secondary fermentation, fining, filtration, ageing and bottling.

Intoduction to Winetasting.The class will include basic information on wines; how to taste and appreciate them.

All workshops will be scheduled for a Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4 pm. Dates to be determined depending on interests. Each workshop will cost $100 which includes the cost of the prepared materials, literature and binder that will be provided.
