Directions to Granlibakken Resort & Conference Center
From Reno/Tahoe International Airport
- Depart Reno/Tahoe Airport and follow signs for US 395 North and I-80.
- Travel North on US 395 for 2.1 miles, angle RIGHT for exit to I-80.
- Turn LEFT on exit ramp for I-80 West toward Reno/Sacramento.
- Travel West on I-80 for 34 miles.
- At Truckee CA, turn off I-80 at the SR-89 South exit toward Tahoe
City.
- Travel on SR-89 for 14 miles.
- There will be a traffic light at Squaw Valley Ski Resort. Go past
Squaw Valley into Tahoe City.
- Tahoe City is the next traffic light after Squaw Valley. Turn RIGHT
just before this traffic light and continue on SR-89. Cross Fanny Bridge (Dam). If you go through the
light, you will be on RT 28 (Don’t do this).
- Granlibakken Road is the first PAVED road on the right (~0.4 mile)
after the bridge. There is a wooden sign of the left side of SR-89 for Tahoe Tavern. This is right
across from Granlibakken Road.
- Turn RIGHT on Granlibakken Road and proceed to Granlibakken Resort.
Airport Shuttle Service
Granlibakken offers its own shuttle service to and from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport. Seven day
advance reservations and pre-payment are required. Call (800) 543-3221 for details.
From
Sacramento or Reno
From Interstate 80 take Highway 89 south from Truckee to the "Y" in Tahoe City. Follow Highway 89 south
for 1/2 mile to Granlibakken Road. Turn right and continue for 3/4 of a mile to the deck overhang of the
main lodge and registration.
From southern California
Follow Highway 395 to Highway 50 west in Carson City. Turn right on Highway 28 along the east and north
shores of Lake Tahoe to Tahoe City. Turn left at the stop light and continue 1/2 mile on Highway 89 to
Granlibakken Road. Turn right and continue for 3/4 of a mile to the deck overhang of the main lodge and
registration.
