Major: Biochemistry
Year in School: Junior
High School: Virginia City High School
Hometown: Virginia City, Nevada

Clubs and Organizations: UNR Pre-Dental Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and CABNR Student Ambassadors

Jobs:
I work at Starbucks during the school year and I lifeguard during the summer. I also coach the Freshman Volleyball team at Galena High School in the fall.

Interests:
I enjoy watching almost every sport, except football. I love to play both basketball and volleyball when I have time. I ski in the winter and wakeboard in the summer, but when I am not doing any of these things or studying for the next big test, I absolutely love to sleep (oh, and eat too!).

Why UNR College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources?
When I started my college education I knew I wanted to go to dental school, but I wasn’t sure what to major in. After declaring Chemistry and then Biology, I decided that Biochemistry was just perfect!

Favorite Quote: “Live well, laugh often, love much”

Favorite Ambassador Memory:
I have only been an ambassador for about a month, so I don’t have many memories to choose from yet. If I must pick one, it would have to be the sledding trip in Tahoe, when instead of sledding down the hill, Chris rolled down it.

Advice for New Students:
It is very important to work hard and go to class, but it is also important to enjoy yourself while in school. Life may be tough and stressful at times, but make sure that when you look back on your experience, you have some good memories too!
