Major: Animal Science/Pre-Vet
Year in school: Sophomore
High School: Pahrump Valley
Hometown: Pahrump, NV

Clubs and Organizations: I am a member of Collegiate Cattlewomen and of course, CABNR Student Ambassadors!

Jobs:
I work at the best place to shop – Corral West!

Interests:
I enjoy teaching my dog new tricks, riding my horse, raising butcher pigs, driving my half a truck (he! he!), hunting, camping, cooking, crocheting, rodeos (but not rodeoing), and most recently bringing cows home! I love the fresh air and try to be out in it as much as possible.

Why UNR College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources?
It was just far enough away from home to have to stand on my own two feet and there was no possible way that I was going to live in Vegas for the next four years. Why CABNR? Because it was the only option – there is nothing else I would rather be doing than studying what I love best. Also the people are great and the atmosphere is really special, I didn’t need to go anywhere else to be happy and at home.

Favorite Quote:
This is from my favorite poem, “One More Lick” by Red Stegall: “And every day I think, one more lick and this cowboys got ‘er made.”

Favorite Ambassador Memory:
Last semester having all those photos taken with that crazy photographer lady – “Spirit fingers!”

Advice for New Students :
Never panic – help is just around the corner, homesickness (or lack of) is normal, live in the dorms your first year and don’t bring a car the first semester, but most importantly join something – it is a way to make new friends, and learn new ideas.
