Emerging and Innovative Technologies Committee

The mission of the Emerging and Innovative Technologies Committee (EITC) is to pay watchful attention for emerging and innovative technologies, both within and outside of Civil Engineering research areas, which have the potential to benefit environmental and water resource programs.  It is the objective of the EITC to effectively disseminate this information to the appropriate technical areas within the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI), including the Education and Research Council. 

To this end, it is important that the EITC understands the technology needs of the other technical councils and actively encourages the representation of the other technical councils in the EITC.  It is the goal of the EITC to identify or re-evaluate bi-annually technical focus areas the EITC should pursue with input from the other technical councils.
