Master of Science in Resource and Applied Economics
The Resource Economics department offers a master's degree in agricultural economics. Graduate studies in the field includes the following areas of specialization: production economics, land and water economics, price analysis and econometrics, agricultural business, and environmental and resource economics.
Two study plans are available to students pursuing the master of science degree. Plan A requires students to write a thesis. The Plan B requirement includes additional course work and satisfactory performance on a comprehensive examination. A professional paper may also be required of Plan B students.
The department participates in the interdisciplinary graduate program in Hydrological Sciences. They also participate in land use planning policy program, in which students can earn the master of science degree.
The agricultural economics department cooperates with the College of Business Administration offering a Master of business administration (MBA) degree with concentration in agribusiness.
